For Safety and Improved Efficiency
Safety striping has one job: make the next safe move obvious. Pedestrian routes, cart lanes, forklift paths, equipment clearances, rack zones, stair edges, and restricted areas have to stay visible in the conditions where people actually work. When routes are unclear, people and equipment compete for the same space. That raises the risk of slips, falls, collisions, and damage to carts, racks, walls, and process equipment.
The markings also have to survive the floor around them. Rolling loads, washdown, cleaning chemicals, abrasion, and wet service can wear down ordinary paint or leave a slick transition. Most operating facilities cannot shut down for a broad installation, so layout, preparation, cure, and traffic release must be sequenced around production.
Solution
Tufco integrates safety striping into a seamless resinous floor system instead of treating the markings as an afterthought. The layout is built around actual traffic, equipment, drains, doors, work cells, and restricted zones. Multiple high-visibility color and texture options allow the facility to separate pedestrian paths, vehicle routes, hazards, equipment footprints, and keep-clear areas within one coordinated floor plan.
- Durable visual control: resinous lines, arrows, borders, stair nosings, and color-coded zones selected for the facility's traffic and cleaning conditions.
- Slip-risk control: texture options matched to wet service, foot traffic, and rolling equipment rather than applying one finish everywhere.
- Cleanable transitions: a seamless, monolithic surface with no flooring joints to hold particulate, plus integral coved base where the sanitation or housekeeping plan requires it.
- Chemical exposure: system chemistry selected against the actual acids, alkalis, battery electrolytes, cleaners, and concentrations present in the room.
- Traffic and loading: abrasion-resistant options designed around carts, rack areas, lifts, wheels, and repeated turning traffic.
- Occupied buildings: low-odor and low-VOC formulation options can be evaluated where ventilation and occupant tolerance limit the installation window.
- Phased execution: isolated night and weekend mobilizations keep unaffected areas live while preparation, striping, cure, and traffic release advance in controlled sections.
Where the base floor also needs static-control or particulate-control performance, those requirements belong in the floor-system specification. The striping provides visual control; it does not create ESD performance by itself. Tufco's own W-2 crews install the work—no subcontractors—and the completed system is backed by a 5-year materials-and-workmanship warranty.
